Sauer/Miller to adopt the agenda as published. Carried 5-0.

Miller/Sauer to approve the 5/27 minutes as published. Carried 5-0.

Zoning west of highway 42. Jim Seaquist spoke on the rezoning proposal which would affect their holdings. He gave a history of their orchard operation; they have never sold a parcel, and do not intend to do so; there are only 5 homes total in the 833 acres they own; he pointed out the developed area west of highway 42, and felt the County Land Division Ordinance would prevent the problems the Town is worried about; their larger lots are next to many smaller lots; they have many contracts with landowners so they can harvest cherries for years to come without these lots being split up. Burkhardt said they just saw orchard and woods when developing the Plan and it seemed natural to give these areas a larger classification. Sauer explained how a planned residential development could work; he felt the area south of Seaquist Road and West of 42 could be left as is for residential expansion.  Kalms pointed out the transition in other areas from SF to HL3.5 to HL5 to HL10. Casey and Burkhardt felt they could live with HL5 in this area; Nelson said HL10 looks out of place here. Casey moved, Nelson second to retain the current zoning for parcel #’s 018-02-21322823, 24C, 32A, 31B, 31A1, 31A, 34A, 34B, 33A and 018-02-28322821A and 12. Carried 5-0.

Outdoor Recreation Plan. Janet Johnson has been working on developing the Outdoor Recreation Plan for the Town with the Parks & Property Committee. Sauer moved, Burkhardt second to table. Carried 5-0. This will be on the next agenda after time for review.

Next Plan Commission is July 7 at 7 PM.

Sauer/Burkhardt to adjourn. Carried 5-0. 8:00 PM.

Approved by the Plan Commission on July 7, 2008.
