VFW looking for veterans who are serving or have served in Afghanistan or Iraq - Carl T. Carlson, Commander of Liberty Grove Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8337 is seeking help to identify veterans who have served or are serving in Iraq or Afghanistan. So as not to violate a veteran's privacy, all information you share should be voluntary. You can either complete a survey at www.DoorCountyVeterans.com or contact Commander Carlson at 920-854-9111 or Service Officer Jeffrey Budzis at 920-854-4728. VFW Post 8337 meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm at the Liberty Grove Town Hall, 11161 Old Stage Rd, Sister Bay.

FUN FACTS: On April 7, 1868 at the Annual meeting for the Town of Liberty Grove $600 was voted on for the cutting and leveling for North Bay Road, one of the first roads in the new Town to be laid out. Also, the Board of Health for the Town of Liberty Grove was organized on July 8, 1886. A. Wiltse was Chairman, A. Beyer was Clerk and Dr. Bloise was physician.

BUILDING INSPECTORS-DAYS AND TIMES: The building inspectors who have been hired by the Town of Liberty Grove are available for questions and permits on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am until 10:00am. For an inspection on an existing permit call 800-422-5220 with the permit number. Blank permits can be picked up at the Town Hall during regular office hours.
