Fireworks Permit Required

At the Town Board meeting of June 2, 2010 fireworks and permits were discussed. As we approach the 4th of July and busy summer season the Board would like to take time to outline the rules for fireworks.
• Any legal firework that leaves the ground or explodes requires a fireworks permit. You can obtain this at the Town Hall office on Old Stage Rd.
• There is an ordinance addressing the use of fireworks in Liberty Grove. (Ord. 4-07)
• Fireworks may only be shot between the hours of 7:00pm and 11:00pm.
• The Town will require proof of liability insurance to issue a fireworks permit.
• Permits will not be issued to minors
• Permits may be rescinded should the weather conditions become unfavorable.
Please be advised that there are fines of not less than $100 nor more than $500 if any person is in violation of the ordinance. We ask that you make your guests aware of this ordinance.
