Chairman Goss called the meeting to order at 7:21 PM. Also attending: Commissioners Nelson, Karkau, Sauer, Shumway, Miller and Clerk/Administrator Kalms. R. Forkert did not attend. Frank Forkert also attended.
Miller/Nelson to adopt the agenda as posted. Carried 6-0.
The December 7 2009 minutes will be acted on at the next meeting.
The building structure control ordinance will be put on future agendas and discussed on an on-going basis.
Chapter 8. Ch. 8 changes underlined:
P. 156, Change “Shoreland and Floodplain Ordinances” section to “Shoreland and Floodplain Management”. Second sentence in this paragraph, change …shoreland/floodplain… to “floodplain zoning ordinance”…….
Page 157, “Shoreland and Floodplain Management” section.
--Delete second paragraph and replace with the following:
To further these purposes, “Door County adopted a Floodplain Zoning Ordinance in 1982 with a complete revision effective March 2, 2009. The areas within the regional flood (1% flood probability per year) are depicted on a series of maps entitled Flood Insurance rate Map, Door County, Wisconsin and Unincorporated Areas issued by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, effective March 2, 2009. These maps are based on a flood insurance study for Door County, Wisconsin and incorporated Areas issued by the Federal Emergency Management Agency as Study #55029CV000A, effective March 2, 2009. It is the responsibility of the Door County Planning Department to administer floodplain regulations in the designated floodplains in the Town of Liberty Grove. GIS access to the Flood Insurance Rate Maps is available at http://map.co.door.wi.us/map/ (Layers Tab – expand Map themes Folder – FEMA Flood Hazards).
--Third paragraph: First sentence—end at Ordinance. Delete remainder of sentence: …and requires that……high water mark.
It was mentioned that the June 2009 Towns Association magazine has an article on building controls. This item will be introduced on January 25. General Plan Design (GPD) map and classifications from Waters End Road north will be discussed on January 25. The GPD map south of Waters End Road will be on the February 8 agenda.
Miller/Shumway to adjourn. Carried 6-0.
