Chairman Goss called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Also attending: Supervisors Nelson (7:23), Karkau, Sauer, Miller and Clerk/Administrator Kalms. Forkert and Shumway did not attend. Frank Forkert and Paul Goodman also attended.
Sauer/Miller to adopt the agenda as posted. Carried 4-0.
Miller/Karkau to approve the 9/21 minutes as published. Carried 4-0.
Land for sale at east end of Waters End Road. The Commission felt this parcel would make a nice park; larger maps to look at the area would be good. Sauer moved, Miller second to refer this to the Parks Committee. Carried 4-0.
Chapter 8. R. Forkert will be asked to elaborate on changing Rural Residential classifications to Heartland.
Suggested changes (underlined portions added):
P. 153, “Zoning Ordinances” section. Second paragraph, third line: …..which was adopted in 1995 and most recently revised in 1998,……….
Page 155, Subdivision Ordinance section. First paragraph, first line: ….Ordinance was adopted in April 18, 2006, amended April 17, 2007 August of 1996, and…….
A land use inventory map will be reviewed.
P. 160, Price section. Eliminate all to second paragraph beginning with “These”, change“These” to Land.
P. 161, Demand section. First line: change 362 to number of permits between 2000 and 2009. Change 1990 to 2000 and 1999 to 2009. Eliminate second sentence. In third sentence, Delete Additionally and change the to The.
P. 161, LAND USE ISSUES AND CONFLICTS. First sentence: change “need” to continue. Eliminate second sentence. Third paragraph, second sentence: eliminate “the”, and third sentence: change “the” to an.
P. 161, ANTICIPATED LAND USE TRENDS. Eliminate subheading #1.
P. 162, ANTICIPATED LAND USE TRENDS. Eliminate subheading #3. Add to subheading #5: Refer to utility chapter 5 for details.
Next discussion will start on page 162, “DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS”.
Next scheduled meeting is November 23 at 7 PM.
